WhelansWeaving is a woven textiles brand that aims to be gender neutral in its approach to colour and form. Claire’s Weaves are a selection of interior products, fashion accessories and art pieces all woven with 100% natural materials.
Every item is fastidiously woven by Claire Whelan on her loom and afterwards finished by her hand here in South East London.
Each piece is intentionally constructed with simplicity, this enables it to be woven on a selection of looms including Claire’s antique master loom- ‘Massive Mary’.
Claire’s studio practice is based at Cockpit Arts in Deptford where she shares with 5 other weavers, all endorsed by The Clothworkers Foundation.
WhelansWeaving is proud to produce all of its material and products by hand here in East London, the final pieces are sold internationally.
