Root and Shoot
Root and Shoot is a design studio run by Jeremy Wyatt, based in south east London. Designing and building sustainable commissions and climate positive playgrounds, treehouses, carpentry and play design workshops, little free libraries, furniture, products, interiors, artworks and installations.
Sustainability is at the heart of the practice, to work in line with my values for people and planet. Involving the end user in the design is crucial to the long term success of projects, for example running truly collaborative co-design workshops at schools and seeking to understand the reasons and inspiration for each project to inform our thinking. Designed for functionality and ultimately for disassembly in the future, after a life of bringing joy, encouraging interaction, community building and empowerment inbetween.
