Rehearsal Director

Rambert is seeking an exceptional Rehearsal Director to lead, inspire and support its world-class contemporary dancers. This senior role oversees all rehearsal planning and delivery, ensuring new and existing repertoire is performed to the highest artistic standard. Working closely with the Artistic Director, guest choreographers and the producing team, you will guide dancers’ professional development, support their wellbeing, coordinate daily classes, supervise the physiotherapy team, and maintain a productive, supportive studio environment. The role also includes touring with the company to uphold artistic vision across all performances, while managing casting, coaching, communication and rehearsal documentation.

Key skills:

Advanced understanding of contemporary and classical dance technique

Proven experience rehearsing and developing professional dancers

Excellent communication, leadership and people-management skills

Strong organisational and scheduling ability

Ability to articulate movement quality and choreographic intention

Experience working within a touring dance company

High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence and attention to detail
