Janet Barfield

Artist specialising in en plein air landscapes. I enjoy sketching places, people and places where I live in SE London, across the UK and abroad. I feel strongly connected to the places I draw and paint, preferring to be in them as I do.

I use a variety of media including Indian ink & watercolour, soft pastel and acrylic paint. My aim is to convey the sights, smells, sounds and weather I experience creating my work and share my love of place with the viewer.

Member of Blackheath and Bromley Art Societies who I exhibit with. Recently took part in Nunhead Local One Group Exhibition. Currently a Community Enterprise Zone member of Hatcham House co working space in New Cross.
