Club Bananas: Spells and Enchantments Workshop

Club Bananas returns to SET Social this May with a journey into the mystical. This month’s session focuses on the whimsical and the magical, inviting you to explore the theme of spells and enchantments through the medium of collage.

Led by local artist Banana Holdwin, the workshop draws inspiration from the fantastical: fairies, woodland folklore, tarot imagery, and ancient rituals. It’s a space to investigate the “weird and wonderful”—from mushrooms and stones to manifestations and witchcraft—while continuing the club’s mission to prioritise experimentation over perfection.

As always, the focus is on the process of making rather than the final product, with participants encouraged to embrace a playful approach to making. Whether you are creating a visual wish or a surreal woodland scene, this is an inclusive environment to connect with others and let your imagination roam wild.

All materials are provided, including pencils, pens, coloured pencils, crayons, and card. You’e also welcome to bring your own favourite sketchbook or specific drawing tools if you prefer.
