Local Grown

Local Grown is a collaborative exhibition by Anna Reading and Annie Strachan for Sydenham Artists Trail. Sited in the former ticket kiosk by Sydenham Station, the exhibition will feature sculpture and paintings. Annie Strachan describes herself as an artist and craftsperson. She makes use of recycled and repurposed materials, exploring different making techniques to create functional sculpture. Anna Reading’s sculptural works clutch, wedge and bind organic and industrial materials to explore novel ecosystems and science fiction landscapes. Her recently unveiled public sculpture, Street Waders, is located outside Saint Stephen’s Church in Lewisham town centre.
