A modern classical chamber orchestra experience to challenge the sensorial boundary between art and music. Join MMus Creative Practice student Carmen Wang for a chamber concert of post-minimalist music inspired by contemporary artworks
This programme features a chamber orchestra led by Carmen Wang, to perform 7 original modern classical pieces inspired by 7 contemporary artworks. The compositions are stylistically influenced by post-minimalism music, especially modern composers like Philip Glass, John Adams, Morton Feldman, Steve Reich and Arvo Pärt. The concert runs approximately 40 minutes, and the chamber orchestra ensemble consists of fellow students from Goldsmiths.
This performance will be recorded for Carmen's postgrad portfolio.
