Dunya Films was founded by Vanessa Smart who is of Palestinian, Iraqi and Scottish heritage. Created from a desire to carve out space for underrepresented creatives in the film industry, Dunya Films curates screenings of films from the SWANA region, creating opportunities for audiences to gather, engage and learn.
