Ashlie Urquhart is a professional artist.
Inspired by life and Surroundings.
Following her time at Southwark Art College which she began at 19, She went on to study at the University of Plymouth and gained a BA Hons degree in Printed Textile and Design. After a long period of developing and experimenting with her particular style, She went on to study at the University of Greenwich, there she continued to explore her style, textures and techniques and gained a Bsc Hons degree in Multimedia Technology.
Once graduated, she worked as a freelance artist painting for private clients and while all the time developing more challenging media. In addition to the private commissions, she worked for some time in the design world. It wasn't until people started discussing her work and encouraging her to exhibit that she decided to exhibit and sell her work.
She has exhibited in many galleries in London & England.
And has worked with local schools on various art projects. She loves creating murals for people and would love to be more involved doing so for the local community.
Ashlie Urquhart works with various media from Acrylics, Inks, paints, Acrylic pens & markers and spray cans & collage. She works with a range of materials including canvas & paper and this work ranges from small to large scale.
Her approach to theme and narrative touches upon an Contemporary and Surreal Edge; other works exhibit a street art focus. Although she doesn't like to restrict her art from growing and exploring different styles or Mediums.
