Black Camping Club
I founded Black Camping Club in 2016 to create culturally inclusive outdoor experiences that centre Black and POC communities. What began as a small passion project has grown into a thriving community, bringing people together through camping, hiking, wildlife spotting and ocean swimming. Through this work, I curate nature-based experiences that encourage connection, belonging and wellbeing, while helping city-dwellers build confidence in accessing the outdoors. My work challenges barriers to participation, promotes representation in outdoor spaces, and celebrates the restorative power of nature. I am passionate about creating welcoming environments where people can build community, reconnect with themselves, and experience joy in nature.
